The LEADER Group is the largest cable & wire producer in Malaysia and South East Asia. In Malaysia, the name "LEADER" is synonymous with the cable and wire industry. The Group has been involved in the cable business for more than 33 years producing an extensive range of communication cables such as copper and optical fibre cables and energy cables such as bare conductors, XLPE and PVC insulated power cables from low, medium to high voltage as well as upstream products such as copper, aluminium and aluminium alloy rods and wires.

The Group has more than 15 years experience in the power generation business since it became the first Independent Power Producer in Cambodia in 1994 when it signed a 18 years power purchase agreement with the Cambodian government. With our 15 years of success, expertise and good track record, the Group was able to secure a second power generation project in Cambodia. The Group is presently building a 100MW coal-fired power plant in Sihanoukville, Cambodia. This project is based on a 30 years power purchase agreement entered into with the Cambodian government. Besides power generation, the Group is also involved in the downstream activities of power transmission and distribution.

The Group's involvement in property development began in the late 80's. It has developed several major projects which consisted of residential, commercial or mix development ranging from shop lots, retail units, terraces houses, bungalows, condominiums and super condominiums. The Group is also involved in the leasing activities of its various industrial & commercial properties, insurance agency & other investment activities.
